Project Description
KMI provided architectural services for replacing approximately 27,000-sq. ft. of existing corrugated wire glass skylights and over 152,000-sq. ft. of roofing for Metra’s Coach and Diesel shops at 47th Street yard. Since the existing skylights were no longer in production, various options were researched for an environmentally responsible product that would optimize the lighting conditions inside the shops, and be compatible with the existing openings and support structure.
