Project Description

Brunson School, formerly known as William H. Byford School, was one of the newest prototype schools added to the Chicago Public School system. It is an example of a school equipped with 21st century technology. KMI provided the design and preparation of construction documents for the mechanical HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and security system, building utilities, and technology system. The electrical system includes primary and secondary sources of power, switchgear, power distribution system and UPS/Clean power for the communication system. KMI’s efforts also extended to construction management for the scope of the project.
