Project Description
Focusing on preservation and restoration, KMI provided design services for the Chicago landmark located in the Beverly neighborhood. The historical wood windows and masonry facade were restored to their original condition. A new entrance canopy and passenger shelter were designed with the objective to improve and enhance the link to the station’s historic accuracy and surrounding community’s architecture. KMI also provided construction management for the project. The station was honored with the “Historic Preservation Excellence award”.
