Project Description
The Seoul-Inchon Navigation project in Korea required eight different sizes of sector gates. These sector gates were the largest in the world at the time. The analysis and design of these gates was performed by 3-D FE procedures. Due to the location of the project seismic analysis was also incorporated in the design of the gates. The bulkheads and lifting beams associated with the operation of the locks were as well designed.
